Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the transformation of banking services, including in Islamic banking which continues to develop digital banking services to improve accessibility, efficiency, and service quality to the community. On the other hand, there are still differences in the level of public understanding and perception of Islamic banking, especially among non-Muslim Generation Z students. Research on this group is still limited, even though Generation Z is a group that is very close to digital technology and has the potential to become users of banking services in the future. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the level of knowledge and perception of non-Muslim Generation Z students about Islamic bank digital banking services. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data was collected through the distribution of online questionnaires to 100 non-Muslim Generation Z students who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics with the help of SPSS software. The results show that the level of knowledge of non-Muslim Generation Z students regarding Islamic bank digital banking services is in the high category with a percentage of 78.67%. Meanwhile, respondents' perception of Islamic bank digital banking services was in the positive category with a percentage of 78.40%. The results show that respondents have a good understanding of the concepts, features, sharia principles, security, and benefits of digital banking services, and provide a positive assessment of the ease of use, service quality, and transaction security offered. The findings of this study contribute to expanding the understanding of the acceptance of Islamic bank digital banking services among non-Muslims, especially Generation Z. This study concludes that Islamic bank digital banking services have a great opportunity to be accepted by the interfaith community. The next study is suggested to examine the factors that affect the level of knowledge and public perception of Islamic bank digital banking services with a wider scope of respondents.
