The Influence of Work–Life Balance and Organizational Culture on Employee Performance Through Job Satisfaction Among PKB/PLKB Employees at Kemendukbangga/BKKBN of West Nusa Tenggara Province

This study examines the influence of work–life balance and organizational culture on employee performance through job satisfaction among Family Planning Counselors (PKB) and Field Family Planning Counselors (PLKB) at the Ministry of Population and Family Development (KEMENDUKBANGGA)/BKKBN Representative Office of West Nusa Tenggara Province. A quantitative approach with a causal associative design was employed. The research population comprised 243 PKB/PLKB employees, with the sample size determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed via Google Forms and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results reveal that work–life balance and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Both variables also positively and significantly influence job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between work–life balance and organizational culture and employee performance. These findings indicate that a healthy work–life balance and a supportive organizational culture contribute to higher job satisfaction, which in turn enhances employee performance. Among the examined variables, job satisfaction shows the strongest influence on employee performance.
